If you added up all the years that producer and DJ's Guido Schneider and Pascal Feos have been in the business of making music, you would come up with
over three decades of experience on the dance floor. Both are among the most respected global players in the scene, jetting around the globe playing
music, releasing numerous records, both on their own, and other well known labels, working alone or in creative partnerships, but always producing great
tunes. Such a position affords the duo space for experimentation. Guido Schneider is currently exploring a link between classical and electronic music,
while Palcal Feos is touring throughout Europe.
Despite their hectic schedule these two rocks of the electronic scene have found the time for a joint project. The result is
"Saftig/Halb Trocken" to be released on the choice of the capital city, Highgrade Records! Translating to "Juicy and Half Dry", the
title says it all. With so much experience in the background, the track names simply tell us what to expect: Urgent, "juicy" beats push the
tracks into juicy minimalism. The first track "Saftig" kidnaps us away into a hypnotically rhythmical realm, before Schneider and Feos switch
it down a gear into "Halb Trocken". A metallic and sober start creeps into a complex universe of rhythm, sound and samples, gradually
reaching a finely balanced musical climax.

Zählt man zusammen, wie lange die DJs und Produzenten Guido Schneider und Pascal Feos bereits im Geschäft sind, kommt man auf gut drei
Jahrzehnte geballte Erfahrung auf dem elektronischen Parkett. Beiden gehören zu den "global players" der Szene, jetten im Auftrag der
Plattenteller um den ganzen Globus und haben unzählige Releases, bei eigenen oder fremden Labels, allein oder in kreativen Kombos, auf der
Haben-Seite. Solch ein Standing erlaubt Experimente: Während Guido Schneider gerade nach der Verbindung zwischen klassischer und elektronischer
Musik sucht, tourt Pascal Feos derzeit durch ganz Europa.
Trotz prall gefülltem Terminkalender haben die beiden Urgesteine Zeit für ein gemeinsames Projekt gefunden.
"saftig/halb trocken" heißt die Scheibe, die die Wahl-Hauptstädter beim Berliner Label Highgrade veröffentlichen. Der Titel
ist Programm - mit soviel Erfahrung im Rücken wird einfach drauf geschrieben was drin ist. So bestimmen drängende "juicy Beats" den
Charakter des ersten Tracks "saftig", minimalistisch wird in hypnotische Rhythmuswelten entführt. Einen Gang runter schalten Schneider
und Feos im zweiten Track "halb trocken": Was blechern-nüchtern startet, geht schleichend in ein komplexes Klanguniversum aus Takt, Ton
und Samples über – das fein austarierte Ergebnis eines musikalischen Gipfeltreffens.
